On this page
Warp starts from the terminal. It is a modern one with built-in AI agents, many models and support for 16 CLI agents. DevWorkspace Pro starts from your projects: one window that holds all of them, with runtimes (DDEV, Sail, Docker Compose), GitHub issues and Actions, per-project AI sessions and security scans.
So the real question is where you want to begin your day. Many developers run a terminal such as Warp next to DevWorkspace Pro and get both.

Two starting points
Warp describes itself as a terminal and an agentic development environment. It has built-in agents with models from several providers, first-class support for third-party CLI agents such as Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode, a code editor, a file tree and a code review panel. Warp Drive shares workflows, notebooks and prompts across a team.
DevWorkspace Pro gives each project its own terminal, files, Git changes, GitHub issues and Actions and AI sessions. That holds for any folder. Projects run in DDEV, Laravel Sail, Docker Compose or natively.
Which suits the way you work
Warp suits you if:
- The terminal is the center of your work.
- You want built-in agents and a choice of models, with agent usage included in the plan.
- You want cloud agents that start from issues, Slack messages or a schedule.
- You share workflows and prompts with a team through Warp Drive.
DevWorkspace Pro suits you if:
- You switch between many projects each day and want each one to keep its terminals, AI sessions and state. ⌘+K switches between them.
- You want to start and stop DDEV, Sail and Compose services next to the code.
- You work from GitHub issues and want to send an issue to an AI agent in one click.
- You use your own Claude Code, Codex or OpenCode accounts and want sessions to resume after a restart.
- You want dependency security scans, uptime monitoring and Focus Pad.
What Warp does better
- Terminal depth. Blocks, a rich input editor, split panes and Tab Configs.
- Agent range. Built-in agents plus first-class support for 16 CLI agents.
- Cloud agents. They carry work from triage through to a mergeable pull request.
- A free plan. Warp has one. DevWorkspace Pro needs a paid license.
- Team sharing. Warp Drive syncs workflows, notebooks, prompts and environment variables.
Using both
- Keep Warp as your main terminal.
- Use DevWorkspace Pro for the project list, runtimes, GitHub issues and Actions, security scans and uptime monitors.
- Start AI sessions wherever you prefer. In DevWorkspace Pro, a session opens in the project folder and shows in the status bar while it runs.
Switching from Warp
There is nothing to migrate. Import your project folders and DevWorkspace Pro detects the stack of each one. Then set your default AI tool and its arguments in the AI session settings, for example claude with your usual flags.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is DevWorkspace Pro a terminal like Warp?
DevWorkspace Pro has a terminal for each project, with multiple tabs and saved output that comes back after a restart. It is not a terminal-first app, though. It is a project workspace that also manages runtimes, GitHub, AI sessions and security scans.
Can I run Claude Code in both?
Yes. Warp lists Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode and many other CLI agents. DevWorkspace Pro starts Claude Code, Codex or OpenCode in a project's folder and can resume unfinished sessions after a restart.
Does Warp need an account?
Warp says login is optional. AI features need a connection, and on the Free plan telemetry must stay on to use AI. DevWorkspace Pro needs a license. It runs the AI CLI tools you install, with your own accounts.
Can I use Warp and DevWorkspace Pro together?
Yes. Use Warp as your main terminal and DevWorkspace Pro for the project list, runtimes, GitHub and security scans.
